I created a community kinda like this one but not exactly. Read the info page and get a better idea. book_2_movie.

Not that the movies were bad persay but they were nothing compared to the books...

The Rules of Attraction by Bret Easton Ellis
Basketball Diaries by Jim Carrol
Riding In Cars With Boys by Beverly Donofrio
White Oleander by Janet Fitch
Starship Troopers by Robert Heinlein
Beloved by Toni Morrison
The Face on the Milk Carton by Caroline B. Cooney
The Godfather by Mario Puzo
Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll
The Bicentennial Man by Isaac Asimov
A Perfect Storm by Sebastian Junger
Practical Magic by Alice Hoffman
Valley of the Dolls by Jacqueline Susann
Election by Tom Perrotta
The Exocist by William Peter Blatty
Girl Interrupted by Susanna Kaysen
Forest Gump by Winston Groom
The First Wives Club by Olivia Goldsmith
Dangerous Minds by Louanne Johnson

Although the movie tends to suck compared to the book I always watch the movie first and then read the book. It makes the book alittle easier to follow and you are amazed at the differences in the two and the things left out. I highly recommend doing this.

Now. Let's see if I can make a list of ten things that were wrong with HP3...I'm surprised it's not on the hit list. I should go ask Alex to join...

1. The dementors could fly. DEMENTORS DON'T FLY. THEY GLIDE.
2. While we're on the topic of dementors, they do not actually freeze things. People just feel cold when they get near.
3. Hermione's "hair from the back" comment. That sounded so preppy. Hermione is not a prep. She is a study geek. (Not meant in a bad way.)
4. If I'm not mistaken, Hermione slaps Malfoy in the book. She does not punch him.
5. HARRY'S EYES ARE GREEN!!! NOT BLUE!!!!!
6. The Firebolt is given to Harry in the middle of the story, and he does not scream when he rides it.
7. We never find out anything about the Marauders or who gave Harry the Firebolt, and Ron never gets Pigwidgeon.
8. When Lupin-the-werewolf starts chasing Hermione and Harry, Hermione says she didn't think about him chasing them. Hermione is supposed to think of everything.
9. Snape is supposed to have hid under the invisibility cloak when he comes into the Shack. Also, all three kids are supposed to attack him.
10. Sirius does not fight Lupin.

And there were so many more...thanks to Alex for making my subconscious force me to watch for mistakes. :P

I just realized something.

In the movies, the chances of Harry and Ginny being together is quite slim. Why? Because they decided to skip that part. I really liked Ginny having a crush on Harry, but
no, they just had to cut it out. I added to her character, the way she got over it.

Steven Kloves must die. Slowly and Painfully.

Yes.....
